01 . why bangkok accounting firms

the deadlines never move. the manual work is optional.

districts: sathorn, silom, sukhumvit, asoke, rama 4stack: flowaccount / peakaccount / xero asia / business plusregulation: federation of accounting professions + pdpa b.e. 2562languages: en primary, th for client communication

bangkok accounting splits three ways. big four offices at the top. a mid tier of 10 to 50 staff firms doing the real bookkeeping and tax compliance for thai smes and expat owned businesses. a long tail of single cpa practices carrying 40 to 120 clients each. the mid tier is the tier that actually runs this city's books, and it is the tier nobody has automated properly. flowaccount owns the thai smb market. peakaccount and xero asia own the english first segment. business plus owns the enterprise tail. we wire claude onto all four.

the calendar is brutal and it never moves. month end close, days one to ten. vat returns (po.po.30) by the fifteenth. withholding tax returns (po.ngo.do.3, 53) by the seventh. corporate income tax (po.ngo.do.50, 51) on the half year and full year cycle. every single return means pulling data out of the platform, reconciling it against bank statements, forcing it into the revenue department template, cpa sign off, lodgement. your junior accountants burn most of their month on input, reconciliation and chase work. none of that needs a cpa's judgment. all of it costs you a cpa's payroll.

claudekick for bangkok accountants takes the input work off the practice and leaves the discipline intact. claude wires onto flowaccount, peakaccount or xero asia through the documented api. bank statements from bay, scb, kbank, bangkok bank and ttb are parsed and categorised against your own chart of accounts. vat preparation pulls the invoices, reconciles them against bank transactions, and hands the cpa a finished po.po.30 to review and lodge. month end prepper writes the close checklist with every exception already flagged. invoice chaser writes the emails and line oa messages in your senior accountant's voice. year end audit prep produces the trial balance and supporting schedules in the exact format your external auditor asks for.

governance ships with the build, not after it. the federation of accounting professions code of ethics demands confidentiality. pdpa demands data flow mapping, retention rules and a legitimate basis. we answer the cross border question in the architecture: anthropic dpa in place, retention set to your own policy, an audit log per workflow that survives an external audit or a regulator walking in. we have been shipping this standard of engineering since 2021 in brussels for daikin, zalando, mediamarkt and board of innovation, and since 2024 from our bangkok studio on sukhumvit with our partner mameaw. 60+ platforms shipped. jobfin, the careers platform the belgian federal finance ministry hires through, is ours. your partner signs the governance pack before any client data moves.

02 . what we build for bangkok accountants

five workflows. 21 working days. one senior team.

03 . case anchor

the discipline that carries this work.

04 . the studio method

four phases. one deadline. no juniors, no handoffs.

phase 0

discovery.

5 to 10 working days

we sit with your partners and a senior accountant, inventory the tools, lock an hour baseline per workflow per role, pick the five workflows worth building, and write the federation of accounting professions and pdpa risk register. usd 3,500, and you get it back if the baseline shows no real saving.

phase 1

foundation.

working days 1-6

claude team seats live with role based access for partner, senior accountant and junior accountant. flowaccount or xero api wired. bank statement import running for bay, scb, kbank, bangkok bank and ttb. first version of every workflow prompt in your hands by day six.

phase 2

activation.

working days 7-13

training per role, not a single generic session. month end prepper and vat preparation tested against a live pilot portfolio. invoice chaser runs side by side for a week. governance pack signed by your partner.

phase 3

stabilisation.

working days 14-21

full firm rollout. your engagement lead is on slack or line through bangkok business hours, and you talk to the engineer who built it. workflows tuned on real use. hour saving measured against the phase 0 baseline. handover document delivered, code already sitting in your own repo.

05 . questions from bangkok cpas

what bangkok accounting firms ask first.

01

how does this work with flowaccount specifically?

flowaccount exposes a documented rest api for transactions, invoices, contacts and bank reconciliation, and we build straight onto it. claude reads only what the workflow needs and writes back only what your cpa approves. the same pattern runs on peakaccount, xero asia, business plus and quickbooks online thailand. no plugin sprawl, no third party middleman, and the code sits in your repo from day one so you own every line of it.

02

what about federation of accounting professions confidentiality rules?

your client data never trains the model. the anthropic enterprise contract carries a data processing agreement with zero data retention for training. retention rules are set per engagement type, so closed files leave the index on your own schedule. every prompt, every output and every cpa approval lands in the audit log. a partner pulls the full trail for any engagement in one query.

03

how does pdpa cross-border data transfer work for accounting data?

claude api calls hit anthropic infrastructure outside thailand, and that is a cross border transfer under pdpa b.e. 2562, sections 19, 23 to 29 and 37, with section 28 governing the transfer itself. the governance pack names the legitimate basis (contract performance for the accounting engagement), the country of transfer (usa, primarily) and the safeguards (anthropic dpa, retention rules, audit log). it lands in phase 0, so your senior partner signs before a single client record moves.

04

what about thai-language client communication?

internal admin and reconciliation stay in english. everything client facing goes out in the client's own language. thai clients get thai, expat clients get english, on invoice chaser emails, line oa replies and vat filing confirmations alike. in phase 0 we capture your house style from the last 12 months of approved correspondence, so the output reads like your senior accountant wrote it, never like a chatbot.

05

how do you handle the revenue department portal?

the rd portal has no public filing api, so the filing step stays with your cpa where it belongs. claude prepares the po.po.30, po.ngo.do.3, 53, po.ngo.do.50 and 51 templates finished and ready to lodge through the portal or through the tax tool you already run (sap thailand, tax calc, business plus). we kill the preparation work, not the professional sign off.

06

how is the hour saving measured?

phase 0 locks an hour baseline per role per workflow. after phase 3 we run the exact same measurement again. the gap is your saving, in numbers, not in adjectives. if the phase 0 baseline shows no material saving, you get the scoping fee back inside five working days with no legal back and forth.

07

what does this cost relative to hiring another junior accountant?

a bangkok junior accountant fully loaded runs thb 35,000 to 50,000 a month, forever, and takes holidays. claudekick scoping is usd 3,500, the build is usd 20,500 to 31,500, and the ongoing retainer is usd 2,150 a month. every price is on the page before you call us. the build pays for itself in months, the seat cost sits an order of magnitude under another full time hire, and the workflows do not resign in january.

06 . go further

other entrances.

ready for phase 0?

scoping for bangkok accountants.

book phase 0. five to ten working days after kickoff you hold a twelve page deliverable in english covering month end, vat preparation and invoice chasing, and it is refundable if the baseline shows no material hour saving. usd 3,500, published, no proposal theatre. we build it in the 21 working days after that.
