Connect your AI to LINE, from sign up to working workflows
Register a LINE Official Account, turn on the Messaging API, then pick the route that fits: Composio, the official LINE MCP server, your own webhook bot or a no-code tool.
A chat app like ChatGPT or Claude cannot answer your LINE customers by itself. LINE needs a server that receives webhooks.
Sending, rich menus and reports work well from an AI assistant with a human present. Automatic replies need your own server or a trigger.
Read tools run freely. Anything that messages a real customer asks first, every time.
This is the order of screens in a real Thai application, run with an AI assistant doing the browsing. Where LINE's own help pages say something different or say nothing, we mark it.
Start from LINE for Business and log in with a Business ID
Choose the option to register an official account now. LINE's developer docs say you can register a Business ID with a LINE account or an email address. One Business ID can hold up to 100 accounts. The service is not usable in EU member states.
Pick the category, sub category and business type
In our application we chose Service business as the main category, Advertising and marketing as the sub category and Online business as the type, to keep validation simple. Choose what is true for your business. Names of the choices are as the form showed them to us.
Fill the business details from the official registration
Copy the address, sub district, postal code and website from your company registration profile so the form matches the registry exactly.
Complete the secondary fields
The shortcut to copy the shop address copies your operating details into the secondary address fields. Then enter the applicant details and confirm.
Check the details screen and finish
LINE shows a details check screen. Review it, then press complete. LINE's developer docs say the account is created once the form is complete, and you confirm it in LINE Official Account Manager.
Wait for the review, if your sign up shows one
In our application a verification stage ran, an application number was issued and a review started. The screen said 5 to 10 business days. LINE's help page says about 10 business days, sometimes longer, and that LINE will not tell you the review status if you ask. Plan for ten or more.
Accept the data use agreement
The next screen was an agreement about how the platform operator uses data: message formats, timestamps and usage logs for service development, abuse prevention and diagnostics. Read it, accept it, and the management panel opens.
Set up the three basics
Write a greeting message for new followers, design a Rich Menu (the tappable layout at the bottom of the chat) and invite team members as admins. Part B covers what to switch off if you plan to build a bot.
Form errors we hit and how to fix them
What happened
Fix
Text typed into the numeric only phone field was rejected
Enter digits only, with no spaces, dashes or letters.
Secondary address fields were empty
Use the copy shop address shortcut instead of typing them again.
Address or website did not match the company registry
Copy them from the official registration profile, not from memory.
Account name for a later verified upgrade
Use a name that matches the business, with no emoji. The applicant name must be a person, not a company.
Optional: the verified account
Create the general account first, then apply for verification in settings.
Fee on LINE's Thailand page: 888 THB excluding VAT, one time. Result by email within 7 business days, then upgrade within 1 day of payment. LINE's help FAQ says about 10 business days for reviews in general. Both figures are official and they differ.
Approval is at LINE's discretion. LINE does not publish a document list for a Thai company, so do not assume one.
General accounts do not appear in LINE app or internet search results.
Admins and roles
LINE's Thai help describes inviting people through Settings, Permissions, then choosing the Administrator permission and sharing the generated link. We did not read a full role table, so check the permission names in your own Manager before you invite anyone.
Part B
Turn on the Messaging API and get your keys
An AI can only act on your account through the Messaging API. Everything below is from LINE's developer documentation, read on 4 November 2026.
Enable the Messaging API from Official Account Manager
This creates the channel. Since 4 September 2024 you can no longer create a Messaging API channel directly in the LINE Developers Console, so always start from Manager.
Choose a provider carefully
If you never used the Developers Console you enter a name and email and select a provider. LINE warns that once a provider manages your account you cannot change or remove it. An existing provider only appears if you are an admin of it.
Open the Developers Console and find the channel
Log in with the same account and confirm the channel is listed under your provider.
Collect the two credentials
The channel secret is the signing key for webhooks. The channel access token is what lets software send messages. They are different things and not interchangeable. Composio's instructions place the channel secret on the Basic settings tab. The access token is issued on the Messaging API tab, and we did not confirm the exact button name.
Set the webhook URL, verify it, then switch it on
In the channel's Messaging API tab edit the Webhook URL and update it. It must be HTTPS with a certificate from a trusted authority and a full chain, no self signed certificates. Press Verify, wait for Success, then enable Use webhook. Only one webhook URL can be set per channel.
Turn off the default greeting and auto-reply for a bot channel
Both are enabled by default on a new channel. LINE recommends disabling them when you first build a bot so customers do not see two answers. Change them in Official Account Manager.
Turn on redelivery
Enable Use webhook and Webhook redelivery together in the Messaging API tab so a missed event is sent again.

Verify every webhook with x-line-signature
LINE sends a header called x-line-signature. Compute an HMAC with SHA 256 over the exact raw request body, using the channel secret as the key, encode it as base64 and compare. If the header is missing or different, do not process the event. Do not parse and re-serialize the body first.
Signature check (TypeScript, Node 22)
import { createHmac, timingSafeEqual } from "node:crypto";
// raw = the request body exactly as received, before JSON.parse
function validSignature(raw: string, header: string | undefined, channelSecret: string) {
if (!header) return false;
const mac = createHmac("sha256", channelSecret).update(raw, "utf8").digest("base64");
const a = Buffer.from(mac), b = Buffer.from(header);
return a.length === b.length && timingSafeEqual(a, b);
}
What a webhook event looks like
This trimmed message event follows LINE's own example for a one to one chat. Use webhookEventId to remove duplicates and timestamp to restore order. A reply token works once and should be used within one minute.
Pick the AI you use, how you want to connect it and what you want it to do. You get steps, a snippet, the risks, a rough cost and what that route cannot do. Impossible combinations say so plainly. The link in your address bar keeps your choice, so you can share it.
Claude Code + Composio + Reporting from insights
Verdict: Documented route
Why
Claude Code can run the composio command line tool directly: search for a tool, read its schema, execute it. Composio documents this. We did not run it against LINE.
Follower insight and the two delivery tools are read only. Stats can be unready and dates use UTC+9. Follower ID lists need a verified or premium account.
What the use case needs
Read only access to LINE statistics. The AI summarises. Statistics can be unready, so it must say so instead of guessing.
Rough cost
Composio Hobby is $0 with 100,000 tool calls and 50,000 trigger events a month. Pro is $29 a month. We could not confirm that LINE falls under the full allowance. LINE message quota applies on top.
Steps
Enable the Messaging API (Part B) and copy the channel secret and a channel access token.
Install the Composio command line tool, log in and link the line toolkit. We did not run the connect step, so what the form asks for is not verified.
List your connections to confirm the new one is active.
Ask the AI to search for a tool, show its schema, then run one read only tool first.
Add the consent policy from Part E before any write tool is used.
Risks
Push is irreversible, reaches real people and costs quota.
One webhook URL per channel: the trigger replaces any URL already set and can silence your own server.
Issuing a new token can disable tokens used by other tools.
The Composio connect form for LINE was not seen by us.
What you cannot do with this route
No flex, image, sticker, broadcast, narrowcast or quota lookup tool. The 17 tools send text only.
The trigger covers messages only. Follow, unfollow and postback events are not covered.
An assistant cannot reply to the last customer on request. A reply token exists only inside a fresh webhook event, so it can only push, which costs quota.
Follower and chat member lists need a verified or premium account.

Claude Code
Documented route. Claude Code can run the composio command line tool directly: search for a tool, read its schema, execute it. Composio documents this. We did not run it against LINE.
Documented route. Claude Code documents the add command for local MCP servers. The exact command in this guide is composed from that syntax and from the LINE README. We did not run it.
Documented route. Claude Code can help you write and maintain the webhook server. The bot itself runs on your host, not inside Claude Code.
Works with limits. Claude Code is not part of a no-code flow. The tool calls an AI model itself. Whether Make or n8n has a native Claude module is not verified.
Claude Desktop or claude.ai
Works with limits. Composio documents MCP sessions for any MCP client and names Claude Desktop. We found no official Claude Desktop config snippet, so use the remote MCP URL from your Composio session and check it connects.
Documented route. The LINE README snippet is written for Claude Desktop. It needs Node.js installed. Fully quit and restart Claude Desktop after saving the config.
Documented route. Claude Desktop is not the bot. Your server is. Use Claude Desktop only to design the prompt and test answers.
Works with limits. Claude Desktop is not part of the flow. The no-code tool calls a model itself. Native Claude modules are not verified.
ChatGPT
Not verified, check before relying. Composio names Claude Desktop, Cursor and the OpenAI Responses API as MCP compatible. ChatGPT specific steps were not verified.
Not verified, check before relying. The LINE server is a local stdio server. OpenAI's API wants a remote MCP endpoint or its tunnel. Wrapping it works in principle but is not verified and not tested.
Works with limits. The ChatGPT app cannot be the bot. Your webhook server can call any model API, but the sample here uses the Claude API, so another model needs code changes.
Works with limits. The ChatGPT app is not part of the flow. Make has OpenAI modules, which we did not verify.
Other MCP client or your own code
Works with limits. Any client that supports remote MCP can use the session URL and headers from Composio, or your code can call the composio command. Client support varies.
Works with limits. You need a client that can start a local stdio server with environment variables.
Documented route. Any model API can sit behind your webhook. Same code shape, different SDK.
Works with limits. The workflow tool decides which models you can call. Check its module list.

Answer FAQs
Works with limits. Needs the LINE_MESSAGE_RECEIVED trigger, which is documented but untested by us, plus a runner that answers inside one minute. LINE allows one webhook URL per channel, so it is Composio or your own server, not both.
Not possible. Outbound only. It has no tool to receive messages, no webhook listener and no reply tool.
Documented route. Webhook, signature check, a FAQ in the system prompt, reply with the reply token. Replies do not use LINE quota.
Works with limits. Make has a Watch Events trigger and a Send a Reply Message module. n8n needs a community node or the Webhook plus HTTP Request nodes. No Zapier LINE app was confirmed. Check the AI module you plan to use.
After hours drafts with human handoff
Works with limits. Same trigger and runner. The reply token lasts one minute, so a draft that waits for a human has to be pushed, which costs quota. Marking a message as read hides it from staff and cannot be undone.
Not possible. The server runs only while your AI app is open and has no public webhook URL, so nothing can answer at night.
Documented route. Same server plus a handoff keyword list and a flag so the bot stays silent once a human owns the chat. How Chat mode and the webhook interact is only described by third parties, so test it in your own Manager.
Works with limits. Possible with a router that sends sensitive topics to a person. The one minute reply token still applies. Not tested.
Order and booking notices
Documented route. LINE_SEND_PUSH_MESSAGE with a retry_key. Text only, up to 5 messages per call, one quota message per recipient. Ask before every send.
Documented route. push_text_message and push_flex_message to one user, broadcast tools to everyone. All count toward quota. Keep approval switched on.
Works with limits. Pushing from your server works and counts quota. Our sample has no push code and no order data. You write that part.
Works with limits. Sending needs your channel access token. Make modules beyond Watch Events and Send a Reply Message are not verified.
Rich menu management
Works with limits. Create, upload an image, set default, link per user. Menus made in Official Account Manager are not listed. How a command line user produces the image reference for the one call upload is not verified.
Documented route. create_rich_menu creates, uploads an image and sets it as default. It can also list, set default, cancel default and delete.
Works with limits. Your server can call the rich menu endpoints, but this guide has no sample. Use Composio, the LINE MCP server or Official Account Manager for menu work.
Not verified, check before relying. We could not confirm any no-code module that manages rich menus.
Lead capture to CRM
Works with limits. The trigger covers messages only, not follow events. None of the 17 tools reads past chats, and saving to a CRM needs a second tool or your own code.
Not possible. It cannot receive messages or read chats. Its profile and follower ID tools do not tell you who wrote or why.
Works with limits. Your server sees every message and can write to your CRM. Our sample has no CRM code. Add consent wording before saving anything.
Works with limits. A webhook trigger that writes to a sheet or CRM is the classic no-code job. We did not verify the LINE modules. Add consent wording.
Reporting from insights
Documented route. Follower insight and the two delivery tools are read only. Stats can be unready and dates use UTC+9. Follower ID lists need a verified or premium account.
Works with limits. get_message_quota and get_follower_ids only. Follower insight and delivery counts are not among its 13 tools.
Works with limits. Possible with LINE's statistics endpoints, but this guide has no sample. The Composio insight tools are the documented shortcut.
Not verified, check before relying. No no-code insight module was confirmed.
Route details
Composio
Composio connects an AI to 17 LINE tools through an API key connection, plus one documented trigger for incoming messages. Best for sending, rich menus and reports.

Follower and chat member lists need a verified or premium account.
Official LINE MCP server
The official LINE Bot MCP server (preview, Apache-2.0) gives an AI 13 outbound tools through your channel access token. Good for supervised sending and rich menu work.
Steps
Enable the Messaging API (Part B) and issue a channel access token.
Install Node.js 22 or later.
Add the server to your AI app with the snippet, keeping the token in the environment block.
Restart the app. Ask for the message quota first, which is read only.
Test a push to your own user ID before any broadcast.
Claude Code command (composed from documented syntax, not run)
With project scope the token would land in a committed file. Do not do that with a real token.
The README calls it a preview version for experimental use.
Rough cost
The software is free. Push and broadcast count toward your monthly LINE quota, which is 300 messages on the Free plan.
What you cannot do with this route
Outbound only: no webhook, no receiving, no reply tool.
It runs only while your AI app is open.
No tool reads chat history.
ChatGPT would need a remote MCP wrapper, which is not verified.
Your own webhook bot
Your own server receives LINE webhooks, checks the signature, calls a model and replies. It is the only route in this guide that can answer customers on its own.
Steps
Enable the Messaging API and set your HTTPS webhook URL (Part B).
Disable the default greeting and auto-reply messages.
Deploy the sample on Node 22 and set the three environment variables.
Keep prices out of the prompt, add a handoff keyword list and a code side price filter.
Test with your own LINE account, then read the logs daily for a week.

});
serve({ fetch: app.fetch, port: Number(process.env.PORT ?? 3000) });
Risks
Prompt injection through customer messages.
Invented prices and promises.
Duplicate deliveries without a webhookEventId check.
A leaked channel secret lets others forge webhooks.
The reply token expires after about one minute.
Rough cost
Claude Haiku 5.5 is about $0.0017 per six message conversation and Sonnet 5.5 about $0.033, on our assumed sizes. Replies use no LINE quota. Hosting is extra.
What you cannot do with this route
The ChatGPT or Claude chat apps are not the bot. Your server is.
The sample keeps memory in RAM. Serverless hosting needs a database.
The sample calls the Claude API. Another model needs code changes.
We did not re-check the reply and push request shapes against LINE's reference. Check them before you ship.
No-code tool
Make or n8n receives the LINE webhook, calls an AI step and replies. Quicker to start, with less control over safety checks.
Steps
Enable the Messaging API (Part B).
In Make add the LINE app and its Watch Events trigger, paste the webhook URL it gives you into LINE and switch Use webhook on. In n8n use the Webhook node plus an HTTP Request node, or a community LINE node.
Add an AI step and a router that sends price, complaint and refund messages to a person.
Test with your own user ID, then watch the run history.
Risks
n8n community nodes are third party code that will hold your channel token.
Check that your tool verifies x-line-signature. If it does not, anyone can post fake events.
No native Zapier LINE app was found.
Rough cost
Make Free gives 1,000 credits a month. n8n Cloud starts at EUR 20 a month billed annually. Zapier Free gives 100 tasks. Model fees come on top. Paid Make prices were not verified.
What you cannot do with this route
Zapier: no confirmed LINE Messaging API app as of 4 November 2026.
Rich menu and insight modules were not confirmed.
Make module lists beyond Watch Events and Send a Reply Message were not verified.
Part D
Eight workflows to run through Composio
These use only the 17 Composio LINE tools plus an AI. Each shows the tools, a prompt you can adapt, what a person must confirm and the risk. None was executed by us against a live account.
Connect LINE to Composio
Prepare LINE first
The Official Account needs the Messaging API enabled (Part B). Have the channel access token ready. If you want the incoming message trigger you also need the channel secret, which reading needs admin rights on the channel.
Install and log in
Install the Composio command line tool and log in. Composio documents setting up its Claude Code plugin with a separate setup command that asks before changing files.
Link the toolkit
Run the link command for the line toolkit. LINE is an API key toolkit with no Composio managed OAuth, so expect a credential form, not a LINE login page. We did not run this step, so the exact field labels are not verified.
Check, then try a read only tool
List connections to confirm the status is active, then search for a tool, read its schema and run one read only call.
Connect and first call
curl -fsSL https://composio.dev/install | sh
composio login
composio link line
composio link line --list
composio search "send a LINE message"
composio execute LINE_GET_FOLLOWER_INSIGHT --get-schema
composio execute LINE_GET_FOLLOWER_INSIGHT -d '{"date":"20261103"}'
Useful options of the link command
composio link line --no-browser
composio link line --no-wait
composio link line --alias shop-two
composio link line --list
Use an alias when you connect a second LINE account. To disconnect, use the connections remove command. LINE cannot clear a webhook URL, only overwrite it, so after removing a trigger turn off Use webhook in the Console or point the URL elsewhere.
To rotate the token: reissue the long lived token in the Console (the old one stops at once), remove the Composio connection and link again with the new token. The Composio side of that is our inference, not a documented command. LINE also warns that issuing a token can disable tokens used by other tools.
The incoming message trigger
Composio lists one trigger, LINE_MESSAGE_RECEIVED. It fires for text, image, video, audio, file, location and sticker messages in one to one chats, groups and rooms. The payload has the message, timestamp, reply token, user ID and source type. It does not cover follow, unfollow or postback events.

The eight workflows
Daily follower and delivery report
Goal
A morning snapshot for the owner.
Tools
LINE_GET_FOLLOWER_INSIGHT
LINE_GET_MESSAGE_DELIVERY_COUNT
LINE_GET_MESSAGE_DELIVERY_INSIGHT
Prompt to adapt
Pull yesterday's LINE follower and message numbers, compare with the day before, and give me five short lines.
A person confirms
Nothing. All tools are read only.
Risk
LowLow. Statistics can be unready, and the AI must say so instead of guessing. Dates use UTC+9. Run the delivery count once for each of reply, push, multicast and broadcast.
Quota watchdog
Goal
Warn before the monthly message limit.
Tools
LINE_GET_MESSAGE_DELIVERY_COUNT
Prompt to adapt
Add up all LINE messages sent this month, compare with our limit of N, and warn me if the projection passes 80 percent.
A person confirms
Nothing, but you must supply the limit N. No tool returns your plan quota.
Risk
LowLow. Replies do not count toward quota, so treat the total as an estimate.
Broadcast draft with human approval
Goal
A promotional message to customers.
Tools
LINE_LIST_FOLLOWER_IDS
LINE_SEND_PUSH_MESSAGE
Prompt to adapt
Draft a weekend sale message in three variants, each under 200 characters, and tell me how many people and how many messages it will use.
A person confirms
The wording, the recipient list and count, the quota cost, and a test send to your own user ID first.
Risk
HighHigh. Pushes are irreversible and cost one message per person. The tools return IDs only, so a targeted list needs your CRM. Use a retry_key. A loop can send many messages.
Welcome message after first contact
Goal
Greet new people once.
Tools
LINE_SEND_PUSH_MESSAGE
LINE_REPLY_TO_MESSAGE
LINE_LINK_OR_UNLINK_USER_RICH_MENU
Prompt to adapt
When a new user writes to us, answer with our hours and booking link, once.
A person confirms
The fixed approved template, de-duplication by user ID and a daily cap.
Risk
MediumMedium. The Composio trigger covers messages only, so a true follow event needs your own receiver, which we did not verify for Composio. Duplicate webhooks cause double greetings, so use webhookEventId or retry_key.
Human handoff check
Goal
The AI answers simple questions and flags the rest.
Tools
LINE_REPLY_TO_MESSAGE
LINE_MARK_MESSAGES_AS_READ
Prompt to adapt
If a message is about price, a complaint or a refund, do not answer. Reply that the team will get back today, and notify me.
A person confirms
The list of allowed topics, the handoff text and the staff alert channel, which is outside these tools.
Risk
MediumMedium. Marking as read hides the message from staff and cannot be undone. Anything slower than a minute has to be pushed. It also needs the message trigger.
Rich menu A/B rollout
Goal
Compare two menu layouts.
Tools
LINE_CREATE_RICH_MENU_WITH_IMAGE
LINE_LIST_RICH_MENUS
LINE_LIST_FOLLOWER_IDS
LINE_LINK_OR_UNLINK_USER_RICH_MENU
LINE_GET_RICH_MENU
Prompt to adapt
Create menu B from this image, link it to every second follower from the list, keep A as default, and report in a week.
A person confirms
The images, the areas and actions, the group split and the rollback plan.
Risk
MediumMedium. An HTTP 200 does not prove the link happened, so read it back. Measuring clicks needs postback or link tracking you build yourself.
Rich menu per customer segment
Goal
Different menus for members, new users and VIPs.
Tools
LINE_LIST_FOLLOWER_IDS
LINE_LINK_OR_UNLINK_USER_RICH_MENU
LINE_GET_RICH_MENU
Prompt to adapt
Link the VIP menu to the user IDs in this CSV and unlink everyone who left the list.
A person confirms
The CSV, and one test user first.
Risk
MediumMedium. The segment list must come from your CRM, since the tools only know IDs. Menus made in Official Account Manager are not listed by the list tool.
Weekly insight summary with menu cleanup
Goal
One weekly note plus unused menus to remove.
Tools
LINE_GET_FOLLOWER_INSIGHT
LINE_GET_MESSAGE_DELIVERY_INSIGHT
LINE_LIST_RICH_MENUS
LINE_GET_RICH_MENU
LINE_DELETE_RICH_MENU
Prompt to adapt
Write this week's LINE summary for the owner, and list unused rich menus I could delete.
A person confirms
Each delete, by name and ID.
Risk
HighHigh for deletes. Deleting a rich menu is permanent. The AI must never delete without a named yes.

A push call, for reference
Push one message with a retry key

Part E
Safety and consent policy for AI that touches LINE
This is our recommended policy, not a Composio or LINE feature. It keeps an AI useful without letting it speak for you by accident.
Read tools run freely
Insights, lists and get calls need no approval. They change nothing.
Write tools show their JSON first
Creating or uploading a rich menu, or linking one, is shown to a person as the exact request. The person says yes.
Push, reply, delete and set default always ask
Show the recipient as a name from your CRM, not only an ID, plus the full text and the quota effect. Never approve a batch in one go.
Use retry_key on every push
A retry then cannot double send. Composio generates one if you omit it, but set your own so you can reuse it.
Test with your own user ID first
Send to yourself, read it on your phone, then widen. There is no LINE API to look up your own user ID, so capture it from the userId in a webhook event you send yourself.
Keep the AI away from approvals
In Claude Code do not put these tool names in an allow list. Approve only the generic composio command so each execute is still reviewed. Whether Claude Code can allow one tool name inside a command string is not verified.
A prompt you can paste into your AI as a standing rule: before any tool that sends, replies, deletes or sets a default menu, show me the recipient name, the full message and how many LINE messages it will use, then wait for the word yes. Never batch.

Counted toward the quota: push, multicast, broadcast and narrowcast. Not counted: reply messages.
The count is per person who receives it. Four message objects to five people counts as five. Blocked users are not counted.
Over the limit with no extra messages enabled, LINE returns an error and sends nothing.
Monthly packages cannot be bought on iOS. Buy them through the web manager.
A bot that only replies adds no LINE message fees. Anything it sends after the one minute reply window, or on its own initiative, is a push and counts.

Thai text can use more tokens than English, and we did not measure the ratio. If adaptive thinking is left on, output tokens rise. Treat these figures as estimates and measure with the token counting endpoint.

Trade off
Vercel Functions
300 seconds default and max on Hobby. Pro default 300, max 800. waitUntil runs work after the response
Easy. Memory must live in a database. Hobby plan commercial terms not checked
Cloudflare Workers
Free: 10 ms CPU per request. Paid: 30 s default CPU. waitUntil adds up to 30 s after the response
Fast to start. Keep max tokens small. Free CPU is tight
Supabase Edge Functions
Wall clock 150 s Free and 400 s Paid, CPU 2 s
Good with Supabase Postgres for memory. Turn off the default JWT check for the webhook, which we did not verify
Small VPS
No platform timeouts
Simple model, you own uptime and HTTPS

Symptoms, likely cause and fix
Symptom
Likely cause
Fix
Verify on the webhook URL fails
Not HTTPS, a self signed certificate, an incomplete chain, or the endpoint does not return 200 for an empty events list
Use a trusted certificate with the full chain and return 200 even when events is empty.
Signature check always fails
The body was parsed before hashing, or you used the access token instead of the channel secret
Hash the raw body with the channel secret and compare base64.
Customers get two answers
Default greeting or auto-reply is still on, or a redelivery was processed twice
Disable both defaults and ignore events whose webhookEventId you have seen.
Reply call fails
The reply token was used already or is older than about one minute
Answer faster, show the loading animation, or fall back to push, which costs quota.
Push fails near month end
The monthly quota is used and extra messages are not enabled
Check usage, upgrade the plan or enable extra messages. Nothing is sent when over the limit.
Your own server stopped receiving events
A Composio trigger replaced the webhook URL, or Use webhook was switched off
Only one URL per channel. Pick one receiver and switch Use webhook on.
A tool stopped working after you linked another
A newly issued token disabled the old one
Long lived tokens are limited to one per channel. Use one token per tool where the type allows and rotate on purpose.
Rich menu does not show
It was created but no image was uploaded, or no default was set, or the link returned 200 without applying
Upload the image, set it as default, wait up to a minute and read the menu back.
Rich menu list is missing menus
Menus made in Official Account Manager are not returned by the API list
Manage those menus in Manager, or recreate them through the API.
Follower or member list is refused
These endpoints need a verified or premium account
Apply for verification or avoid those tools.
Insight tool returns unready
LINE has not finished the numbers for that date
Retry later. The AI must report unready, not invent a figure.
Claude Desktop does not show the server
Config not reloaded, or Node.js missing
Quit Claude Desktop fully, restart it and check the mcp server log in its logs folder.
ChatGPT will not answer your customers
A chat app is not a server that LINE can call
Put a webhook server in front, or use a no-code tool, and call the model from there.
Part H
Questions people ask
Short answers. Each links back to the part that explains it.
Can ChatGPT or Claude answer my LINE customers by itself?
Not as a chat app. LINE delivers messages to a webhook URL that you host, and a chat app is not a server. Your own webhook server, or a trigger plus a runner, can call a model and reply. See Part C.
Is there an official LINE connector for Claude?
LINE publishes an official LINE Bot MCP server on GitHub, Apache-2.0, marked as a preview version. It has 13 tools and is outbound only. It cannot receive messages.
Does Composio work with LINE?
Yes, as an API key toolkit named line with 17 tools and one trigger called LINE_MESSAGE_RECEIVED. There is no Composio managed OAuth for LINE. We have not run the tools against a live account, so treat the trigger as documented, not proven.
Do I need a verified LINE account?
Not to create an account. A verified account costs 888 THB excluding VAT, one time, and some tools such as follower ID lists need a verified or premium account.
Does an AI reply use my LINE message quota?
No. Reply messages are not counted. Push, multicast, broadcast and narrowcast are counted, one per recipient.
Can I do this without writing code?
Partly. Make has a LINE app with a Watch Events trigger and a Send a Reply Message module. n8n can use a community node or Webhook plus HTTP Request. We found no native Zapier LINE app.
How long does LINE take to approve a new account?
Our application screen said 5 to 10 business days. LINE's help page says about 10 business days and sometimes longer. Plan for ten or more.
Is it safe to let an AI message customers?
Only with limits: read tools free, write tools shown first, push and delete always approved by a person, a test to your own ID, and PDPA aware notices. See Part E.
