LINE OA price in Thailand: the plans and what a month really costs

Opening a LINE Official Account is free. The plan fee only matters once you send more than 300 messages a month. Basic is 1,280 baht and Pro is 1,780 baht a month, both before 7% VAT.
Written for: You run a shop, clinic or studio in Thailand, someone told you to "get a LINE OA", and you want to know the monthly bill before you start.

These are the figures on LINE for Business Thailand's broadcast page, read on 4 November 2026. LINE shows the fees before VAT. Monthly plans cannot be bought on iOS, so you buy them in LINE Official Account Manager on the web.
What counts as a message
LINE counts messages per person you send to, not per bubble. Send one broadcast to 2,000 friends and that is 2,000 messages, even if the broadcast holds four images. Push, multicast, broadcast and narrowcast messages count. Reply messages, which answer a customer who wrote to you first, do not count. Friends who blocked you cannot receive the message, and LINE does not count a message the user cannot receive.
So the quota is really a limit on how often you start the conversation. Answering customers is free. Our message limits guide goes through the counting rules and what happens at the limit.
Worked example: three shops, three bills
Shop A: 2,000 friends, 6 broadcasts a month to everyone
- Messages: 2,000 x 6 = 12,000 a month.
- Free covers 300 and allows no extras, so Free is out.
- Basic: 1,280 baht, and 12,000 is inside the 15,000 included. With 7% VAT: 1,280 x 1.07 = 1,369.60 baht.
- Pro would cost 1,780 x 1.07 = 1,904.60 baht for no extra benefit at this volume.
Shop B: 3,000 friends, 8 broadcasts a month to everyone
- Messages: 3,000 x 8 = 24,000 a month.
- Basic: 24,000 is 9,000 over the 15,000 included. 9,000 x 0.10 = 900 baht extra. Total 1,280 + 900 = 2,180 baht before VAT, 2,332.60 with VAT.
- Pro: 24,000 is inside the 35,000 included, so 1,780 baht before VAT, 1,904.60 with VAT.
- Pro is 400 baht cheaper before VAT, 428 baht cheaper with VAT, and has room to grow.
Where Basic stops being the cheaper plan
Basic plus its extra messages equals the Pro fee at 20,000 messages: 1,280 + (5,000 x 0.10) = 1,780 baht. Below 20,000, Basic is cheaper. Above 20,000, Pro is cheaper up to its 35,000 included messages. Past 35,000, Pro adds 0.06 baht per message.
- Under 300 messages a month: stay on Free.
- 300 to 20,000 messages: Basic.
- 20,000 to 35,000 messages: Pro.
- At full Pro use, 1,780 baht over 35,000 messages is about 0.05 baht a message before VAT.
Cut the bill before you upgrade
The cheapest message is the one you do not send. If only 30 percent of your friends care about an offer, send it to that group. LINE lets you target a broadcast, though it needs a target reach of at least 100 people. Shop B above, sending 3,000 x 8 x 30% = 7,200 messages instead of 24,000, fits inside Basic with no extras.
What the plan fee does not include
- MyCustomer, LINE's customer list tool: 369 baht a month before VAT on Free and Basic, included in Pro.
- A Premium ID (your own @name): 444 baht a year before VAT on Android or web, 459 baht on iOS.
- The verified badge: 888 baht once, before VAT.
- Paid ads, MyShop order fees and any agency or developer time.
Questions people ask
Is a LINE Official Account free?
Yes, the Free plan costs nothing and includes 300 messages a month. It does not allow extra messages, so it suits a business that mostly answers customers.
Do I pay when a customer messages me and I reply?
No. Reply messages are not counted. Only messages you start (push, multicast, broadcast, narrowcast) count.
Are the prices with VAT?
No. LINE shows fees before VAT. At 7%, Basic is 1,369.60 baht and Pro is 1,904.60 baht a month.
Can I buy Basic or Pro on my iPhone?
LINE's page says monthly plans cannot be purchased on iOS. Use LINE Official Account Manager on the web.
