What the blue shield unlocks
- Verified status on your profile, so people can tell the account is real.
- Discovery through Nearby, For You and search engines such as Google, according to LINE's page.
- Gain Friends ads, which are for verified accounts only.
- Business Manager cross targeting.
- A QR poster with licensed LINE FRIENDS characters.
Who can apply
LINE's page lists categories such as restaurants, health, beauty, education, travel, retail, government and other local businesses. The account name must match the business and cannot contain an emoji. The applicant's name must be a person's name, not a company name. Individuals and unregistered shops may apply, but approval is up to LINE.
Documents to have ready
- A business registration or licence, for example a DBD record or a clinic licence, and TAT documents where they apply.
- A real business address that LINE can contact.
- A working phone number and email for the business and for the applicant.
- Your website or other online channels, if you have them.

Worked example: is 888 baht worth it?
A hair salon on the Basic plan
- Basic for a year: 1,280 x 12 = 15,360 baht before VAT.
- The badge adds 888 baht once, which is 888 / 15,360 = 5.8 percent on top of the first year, and nothing after that.
- With VAT the badge is 888 x 1.07 = 950.16 baht.
- Assumption for the arithmetic, not a LINE figure: if one new customer is worth 150 baht of margin, the badge pays back after 950.16 / 150 = 6.3, so 7 extra customers.
- Decide with your own margin. If 7 extra customers from search and Nearby sounds easy, apply. If your customers all arrive by word of mouth, the badge can wait.
Before you pay, check these four things
- The account name is your real business name, with no emoji, because LINE requires the name to match.
- You have the registration or licence, an address LINE can contact and a working phone and email for the business and for the applicant.
